About Me

I’m Samantha, also known as PainterSam. As a professional artist, disabled influencer and internationally recognized advocate, I’ve dedicated my life to inspiring others through my creativity, resilience and advocacy.

My journey began with a fight for survival. At just 9 months old, I battled bacterial meningitis—a fight that resulted in the amputation of several fingers, toes, and half of my right foot, as well as countless reconstructive surgeries. These experiences profoundly shaped who I am and fuel my drive to create art that celebrates resilience and transformation.

With a Fine Arts degree from the Columbus College of Art and Design, my work has been showcased internationally on platforms like TLC’s NY Ink, Angels Among Us, and major networks including NBC, ABC, and Fox. I was honored with the title of "Mom of the Year" for my Butterfly Portraits series, created in memory of families who have experienced child loss, inspired by the loss of my own newborn son.

As an awarded international advocate for vaccine awareness and meningococcal disease prevention, I’ve testified before the CDC, Senate, and Congress, and helped pass legislation in Ohio to protect children from these devastating illnesses.

Today, I proudly combine my artistic journey with my work as a social media influencer, connecting with a large international following. I collaborate with brands and organizations that align with my mission to empower others, amplify important causes, and celebrate the strength of the human spirit. My work as an influencer has been partnered with major corporations and included speaking engagements in New York City and beyond.

Outside of my work, I live life as a “Cool Mom” of teens, a car enthusiast, dog lover, and bookworm. Every part of my story—from surviving meningitis to creating art that touches hearts worldwide—has shaped the person I am today.
